Hisarcıklıoğlu calls for businesses “short work allowance”

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu urged businesses affected by the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak to apply for 'short work allowance' instead of sending their employees on unpaid leave.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu, in a video tweet, drew attention to opportunity offered by short work allowance.

Hisarcıklıoğlu urged businesses to maintain their employees instead of reducing employment, “The resource you need is found in the short work allowance. Instead of sending your employees on unpaid leave, apply for a short work allowance.”

Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu's video prepared by TOBB, stressing that the fight against Covid-19 can be won through working together, notes that that all businesses which have had to reduced their activities or have had to stop altogether, can make applications for short work allowance electronically without going to the Provincial Labor and İşkur Directorates.
