No more sale to the darkness without seeing the risk

29.03.2013 / Yozgat

Attending the tax award ceremony in which the business world that determines the direction of Yozgat Economy were rewarded, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, pointed out that sellers who sell goods on a deferred payment basis would be able to see the counter party's background information with the new application which was introduced due to the problems with cheques, and said, “No more sale to the darkness without seeing the risk.”

The award ceremony jointly organized by Yozgat Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Yozgat Commodity Exchange was honored by M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, Cemil Çiçek, President of TBMM, Bekir Bozdağ, Deputy Prime Minister, Mustafa Boydak, Member of TOBB Executive Board, Abdülkadir Yazıcı, Governor of Yozgat, chamber presidents, managers and businessmen.

In his speech Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB pointed out that the new period in time bargains would reduce the risk, and said, "Banks see all my background when they sell money and offer loans. They aim before they shoot when they sell money.  I sell goods, but shoot in the darkness.  Now, we have prevented it.”

-Protect and look after the Turkish private sector

In his speech, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey offered employment to 4 million 700 thousand people from 2008 to 2009 when 6 million people lost their jobs in Europe, and said, “The Turkish private sector is the favorite star player of Turkey like a highly skilled  footballer.   Therefore, I tell the bureaucrats to protect and look after the Turkish private sector just as referees protect and care for star players.”

Telling that they offered employment to 4 million 700 hundred people during the crisis, and that it was a record, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Of course, the primary factor is the environment of stability and confidence.  We should never forget it.  Turkey wants to be rich.  The only formula to become rich is to increase the number of entrepreneurs.  Each entrepreneur means jobs for 10 people.   Turkey’s biggest problem in the future will be the employment problem.  We need to find jobs for 750 thousand people every year.   The population that joins the employed force is 750 thousand people.  But it is not possible to assign them all to state offices.  10 years from now, this figure will be 1 million.  Only if we can increase the number of entrepreneurs, we can employ newcomers and improve prosperity.”

-The constitution prepared by the Nation will clear our way

Stating that a new constitution was needed, Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, said, "We cannot construct a building without a foundation.  The foundation of the system is the Constitution.  The 4 political parties promised to change the Constitution before the elections.  We witness a period when a constitution is written by the representatives of the nation.  We hope God will let us witness it.  This time, we want our way to be cleared with a new constitution which is not imposed, but written by the nation.   Whether deficient or not,  we must write it, not others, that's what we want.  If it happens, then, Turkey will enter the first 10 big economies of the world in 2023.”

-Cemil Çiçek, President of TBMM

In his speech, Cemil Çiçek, President of TBMM, said "Some vocational organizations engaged in the past and are still engaging in the formation, or dissolution of governments, instead of engaging in their own business.”

Stating that everybody wrote long magic formulas for Turkey’s development, Çiçek said they had all some truth in them, but the indispensable condition of development was quality education.

Pointing out that universities should not only assess figures, and the number of students who were liked and employed by the private sector was more important, Çiçek said, “Do not be misled by the magic language of those figures.   100 people entered, 90 of them passed, and there is 90 percent success.  It’s all misleading.  Particularly, no lengthy literature is required for the development of Yozgat.  Education is of priority.  For that reason, we often emphasize education and university.  In fact, university is the biggest driver for the development of a society.”

-'They engaged in forming and dissolving governments'-

For a strong development Çiçek asked everybody to show necessary care to do his work well, and said:
“Unfortunately, many people are engaging in, and talking about others’ works, instead of doing their own work.   Everybody will do his business.  Everybody will engage in his own work, and do it in the best manner.  It’s no use to boast of others' deeds.  We have to do our own work.  Some vocational organizations engaged in the past and are still engaging in the formation, or dissolution of governments, instead of engaging in their own business.  Deputy markets were formed.  This was not the duty of chambers.  Books were written, mentioning the gang of 5 against the ruling party elected by the people.  Gangs were formed.  These did not contribute positively to Turkey, democracy, stability and development.  These are not good memoirs.    I mean, if trade associations are engaged in their own business, Turkey will benefit more, just as shown by the example of TOBB.  Turkey will cover a long distance in a short time.”

-''Without saving, there will be no investment, employment.'-

Pointing out that importance should be attached to savings, Çiçek said, “Without saving, there will be no investment, employment.   Our society is spending much more than it produces.  A Chinese saves 54 liras of every 100 liras he earns.  If we face the Chinese reality anywhere we go in the world, and we see a Chinese businessman, a Chinese investor, the most important reason for this is the saving efforts of the state and the society."
