During the opening of Çaycuma Chamber of Industry and Commerce Anatolian Teachers School, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, said that the best investment was investment in education and the investor would never lose. ​

 

Çaycuma Chamber of Industry and Commerce Anatolian Teachers School was opened with a ceremony honored by Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, Erol Ayyıldız, Governor of Zonguldak, Hasan Yaman, Mayor of Çaycuma District Governor, Mithat Gülşen, Mayor of Çaycuma, and presidents of the regional chambers/commodity exchanges.

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu who made a speech during the ceremony reminded that they had laid the foundation 3 years ago and said, "There is a great solidarity in Çaycuma. We have a good proverb.  Unity brings grace and abundance, separation brings pain.  If we want the city to go further, the key is solidarity.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB said corporate responsibility campaigns were launched in Europe and developed countries.  Pointing out that social responsibility had a place in the Turkish Culture, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:  “Education is the most useful business for people.   We are men of business, we know that every investment has a risk, except one, which is education.  You never lose when you invest in education.  Not only your children, but also your environment and the 74-million people in your country will benefit from such an investment.   Turkey has no petroleum, natural gas, but our youth is the petroleum and natural gas of our country.  If we can train them well, we will save our future.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu said Turkey’s future lied in the hands of students, and the youth who will lead the country in the future will be brought up by teachers. 

Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, promised to build another school in Zonguldak. 

-Ayyıldız, Governor of Zonguldak

Erol Ayyıldız, Governor of Zonguldak pointed out that education was essential to raise generation who care about universal values,, and said, “Education is always our priority.  Zonguldak is above the average of Turkey in terms of education capabilities, but the support of philanthropists is always needed. We see the works of TOBB everywhere in Turkey”.

-Gülsen: “Another school title deed is in my pocket” 

Mithat Gülsen, Mayor of Çaycuma, stated that he was proud of the unity and solidarity in the county, and said, “This property was allocated to our municipality free of charge by the Privatization Administration in 2005.  It had the appearance of a swamp.  I congratulate President of TSO and its members for this unique accomplishment.  Another school title deed is in our pocket.   If Mr. Governor wishes, we are ready to donate another land property.”

-Yaman: “The works will survive forever”

Hasan Yaman, District Governor, said he felt lucky for the unity and solidarity in the county.  Yaman, District Governor, said, “Needs are constantly increasing in the area of education and training.  The State cannot alone meet all requirements.   At this point, non-governmental organizations and philanthropists step in.   Before this school was built, the Chamber of Commerce wanted an additional building for the Industrial Vocational High School.  However, the idea of building an Anatolian Teachers School emerged as a result of the negotiations.  We conveyed the issue to the Chamber's administration and signed the protocol for a school.  It has been an exemplary school with its garden and physical conditions.  There is a proverb, “Action speaks louder than words”. I would like to congratulate TSO.  The chamber has won the hearts of the people of Çaycuma.  They will always be remembered with this work” 

Özdan Ulupınar, Deputy of Zongudak emphasized that the children raised in this school would be useful for their nation and country, and good education was important for the country’s future.

Ali İhsan Köktürk, Deputy of Zonguldak said that education was necessary so that people in the country lead a life every human being deserves.

Hasan Yaman, District Governor of Çaycuma, Mithat Gülşen, Mayor of Çaycuma, and Rıfat Sarsık, President of Çaycuma TSO, thanked to the people who had a role in the construction of the school.

Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, had photos taken with the students and visited the school after the ribbon cutting ceremony.
