The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) will construct a 24 classroom Science Highschool Building and a Student Dormitory with a capacity of 300 in Çankırı. The protocol regarding the construction of the school was signed at the TOBB Union Center (Twin Towers). Attending the ceremony hosted by Hisarcıklıoğlu were Çankırı PM İdris Şahin, TOBB Board Vice President Faik Yavuz, TOBB Board Member Arif Parmaksız, Çankırı Governor Vahdettin Özcan, Çankırı Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Hayrettin Çelikten, Çankırı Commodity Exchange President Hüsnü Ünal and Çankırı Municipality Director İrfan Dinç. During his speech at the protocol ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu put emphasis on the importance of education. Stating that Çankırı is a distinguished province of the Central Anatolia region, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “As TOBB, we will construct a Science High School in Çankırı. I would like to thank the Çankırı Commodity Exchange Hüsnü Ünal for his contributions to have this investment be made in Çankırı. Other great contributors to the actualization of this investment are Çankırı Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Hayrettin Çelikten, our governor and municipality director.”

- The riches of Çankırı

Stating the importance of Çankırı as a very special province for them, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The mention of Çankırı brings to mind our indispensable values: The love of country, nation and our spiritual values; grace and peace born of unity and solidarity. Çankırı has riches which must be better made use of. First of all, it has greatly fertile lands. The potential for agriculture and animal husbandry is very high. There is no crop which you can’t grow here! There is also a great potential for livestock farming. 35% of its land is grazing country.”

- New incentive law and Çankırı

Stating that, especially due to the new Incentives Law, Çankırı has become a very advantageous province for industrial investments, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “While Ankara which is only an hour and a half away is a 1st Zone province, Çankırı is a 5th Zone province. There is great potential in Çankırı for those who want to invest. It provides investors with great advantages. Çankırı has the potential to turn all of these riches into profit. Çankırı has another great wealth; it’s young and dynamic population. A very significant part of the population is between 15 and 34 years of age. The most important factor in turning all of these advantages into profit is the education of the young population.

In the future, our greatest asset will be our well educated youth. Turkey has no natural gas or petroleum but, praise Allah, we have a young population. If we can properly educate this young population it will become our greatest dynamic. This young population will contribute the most to us achieving our 2023 goals.

- Investment in youth

Stating that, as TOBB, they invest in youth on behalf of the business world, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We want to provide every contribution we are able in regards to making our youth smarter and more innovative. I believe that the youth which receive a good education here will produce significant added value for both Çankırı and for Turkey in the future.”

Following Hisarcıklıoğlu, the AK Party Çankırı PM İdris Şahin and the Çankırı Governor Vahdettin Özcan also gave speeches.
