Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his message regarding the death of Fenerbahçe's legendary football player, Lefter Küçükandonyadis:

"We are greatly saddened by the passing of the legendary football player of the Fenerbahçe Sports Club, Lefter 'Professor in Ordinary' Küçükandonyadis.

Lefter had made great contributions to Turkish football and has been one of the most important and exemplary players of the Fenerbahçe Sports Club.

Having worn the national uniform of the Turkish National Football Team 50 times and taking part in many teams as coach, Lefter has been an example to younger players with his skill and sportsmanship.

On behalf of the Turkish business world, I pray for the grace of Allah upon Lefter Küçükandonyadis and present our condolences to his family, to the Fenerbahçe community and all football enthusiasts."
