IRU Passenger Transport Council and Goods Transport Liaison Committee Meeting

The IRU's Meeting of the Passenger Transport Council and the Liaison Committee on Goods Transport (CTP-CLTM) was held with the participation of TOBB Transport and Logistics Systems Department.
The meeting focused on the European Commission's proposal to include road transport in the Emissions Trading System (ETS), as well as views on alternative fuel use and energy taxation policies.
ETS (Emissions Trading System), the cornerstone of the European Union's policy to combat climate change, aims to reduce carbon emissions by 55% by 2030.
