Danish Ambassador Madsen promises to support visas for the business world

Denmark’s Ambassador to Ankara Ruben Madsen visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

Exchanging views, Hisarcıklıoğlu and the guest Ambassador assessed the economic and commercial affairs between the two countries. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that they found the economic relations between the two countries to be too little and they plan on bringing businessmen together to further the relations. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that this could be achieved through the business council and urged that the Danish counterpart of the Turkey-Denmark Business Council president be elected with all due haste.


- Entrepreneurship spirit


Stating that the entrepreneurship in Turkey has developed greatly, Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed that in order to remove obstruction to the progress of entrepreneurs we must remove the obstacle of visas. He also said that they wish to enact many new projects between the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Denmark Chamber of Commerce as well as between TOBB and Eurochambres. The TOBB President expressed their wish to especially further relations in third party markets.

- Support on the visa issue

Ambassador Madsen stated that they would support the attainment of visas. Ambassador Madsen, stating that Denmark will be taking over term presidency on January 1st, 2012 and that under Denmark’s presidency relations between Turkey and the EU regarding accession will be taken to the highest level.
