Financial Technologies Council will contribute to the Financial Technologies Strategy Document

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) met with the participation of Turkish Financial Technologies Council, TOBB Board Member Mahmut Özgener and Council President Koray Bahar, Vice President of the Presidential Finance Office Murat Ali Çengelci, Vice President of the Competition Authority Dr. Faik Metin Tiryaki, MASAK Vice President Ersin Başar Ekmekci and related bureaucrats.​

Industry representatives gave their assessments on issues such as crypto asset platform regulations, payment services, open banking and digital banking. Representatives of public institutions listened to the expectations and problems of the sector and gave up-to-date information about their fields of study.

It was stated that TOBB Turkey's Financial Technologies Council will contribute to the Financial Technologies Strategy Document study carried out under the auspices of the Presidential Finance Office and the views of the private sector will be conveyed.

The meeting also informed that the Competition Authority was working on sector research to identify problems and key policies in the financial technologies field.

It was stated that workgroups will be formed within the Council on Open Banking, Crypto assets, Payment Services Regulation, Digital Banking and Combating Financial Crime, and that issues of close interest to the sector will be followed.
