The Niğde Municipality has granted TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu an honorary fellow townsman. The Fellow Townsman Certificate was presented to Hisarcıklıoğlu by Municipality Director Faruk Akdoğan during the Niğde Municipality visit.​

Niğde University has granted TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu an honorary doctorate. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that this is a great honor for him which he will carry to the end of his life.​

TOBB Former Board of Directors Vice President and Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chamber Board President Bülent Koşmaz has passed away.​

Former US Ambassador James F. Jeffrey visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

Speaking at the Academic Consultants Training closing meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the local data and information production capacity as well as the policy generation capacity of chambers and exchanges organized throughout Turkey can be greatly enhanced by the support of academic consultants. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Our chambers and exchanges which provide 5-star service to its members will be the focal point of local development as a consequence of the process of accreditation.”​

TOBB president M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the “Turkey-EU Relations” meeting held in Ankara by the EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and attended by NGO representatives.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu presented Eskişehir Chamber of Industry Chairman Savaş M. Özaydemir who served in the TOBB Board of Directors between July 1st 2013 and August 1st 2013 with an appreciation plaque.​

Speaking at the Academic Advisors Training Program, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed the importance of bridging the industry and the academic world, “We must all play as a part of the team. We must combine the ideas of the academic world and industrialists and reach results.”​

In his Fathers’ Day message, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Supporting his children through self-sacrifice throughout his whole life, a paragon of devotion, fathers are people of wise character who put their children’s needs before their own.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the foundation laying ceremony of Çorlu TSO’s new service building. The ceremony hosted by Çorlu TSO President Enis Sülün was attended by Hisarcıklıoğlu as well as CHP Tekirdağ Parliament Representative Candan Yüceer, Tekirdağ Governor Ali Yerlikaya, Tekirdağ Grand Municipality Director Kadir Albayrak and the chamber presidents and members of the region.​
