Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The B20 Turkey Conference, hosted by B20 Turkey and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu began with the attendance of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the prominent actors of the global economy. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that B20 Turkey has been hard at work and have determined a list of 19 demands to be conveyed to G20 Leaders. The list was presented to President Erdoğan.​

EUROCHAMBRES Vice President and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his speech during the EUROCHAMBRES Affiliated and Correspondent Members Committee meeting, “We are living in a time of great uncertainties and major challenges. Low economic growth, unemployment and especially young unemployment, protectionism and last but not least, migration are the main source of these challenges”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Kutbettin Arzu at his office. Extending his well wishes to Minister Aşçı at his new appointment, whereupon Hisarcıklıoğlu and Arzu exchanged views.​

In a statement of condolence for the passing of Anya, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “A respectable member of our community, the passing of Söke Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council Chair Reşat Anya is a source of great sorrow; I extend my condolences to his loved ones and the business community.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed that Sakarya markets its products to the most developed and richest countries of the world and said, “Sakarya produces our national tank. Sakarya produces our national train. Allah willing, we will produce our domestic automobile in Sakarya as well.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, accompanied by Sakarya Governor Hüseyin Avni Coş, visited the Akyazı Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Akyazı TSO). Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Akyazı TSO Chair Zafer Şinasi Bayraktar and members of the council.​

In his press release regarding the August 30th Victory Day, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the victory gained at the Battle of Dumlupınar is the word of our nation that it will live free and in solidarity, saying, “By preserving these values forever and taking big steps in civilization we will exult the spirits of our ancestors and the souls of our martyrs.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Manavgat Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Ahmet Boztaş at his office. Also present during the meeting were Antalya MPs Çetin Osman Budak and Deniz Baykanl, Manavgat Mayor Şükrü Sözen and chairs of chambers and exchanges from surrounding provinces and municipalities as well as council members.​

Attending the foundation laying ceremony of the Tourism Faculty which will be built by the Manavgat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that Manavgat’s tourism potential offsets the current deficit by 4.5 billion USD.​
