The Coordination Council for the Improvement of the Investment Environment (YOIKK)

YOIKK is an inter-ministerial platform aimed at identifying and solving problems that are faced by investors and SMEs in Turkey. YOIKK works in collaboration with public and private sector stakeholders and develops its agenda through its technical committees as well as a variety of specialized institutions. YOIKK is an integral mechanism for private sector’s role in improving the investment climate in Turkey and is an internationally renowned platform, exemplifying a successful public-private partnership.

While TOBB is the designated coordinator for the private sector under YOIKK’s umbrella, it works closely with select private sector associations including TIM, TÜSIAD, YASED, and MÜSIAD which are also represented at the council.

As part of YOIKK’s agenda, technical working groups established within TOBB identify issues faced by various chambers/exchanges, sectoral assemblies and other private sector stakeholders and propose actionable solutions by reflecting these on the YOIKK action plan.

The Government of Turkey is currently implementing an ambitious Ease of Doing Business reform agenda under YOIKK’s umbrella. For more information on the Ease of Doing Business, please visit the World Bank Doing Business Report Activities menu item.
