Insurers met with Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance Aksu

The Regulation on Amendments to the Regulation on Insurance Contracts and Insurance Contracts covered by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance published in the Official Gazette on May 09, 2020 was discussed at the meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance Bülent Aksu.
Attending the meeting planned after Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu's meeting, in addition to Deputy Minister Aksu were the Chairman of the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority (SEDDK) Türker Gürsoy, Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance Dr. Ahmet Genç, TOBB Board Member Hakan Ülken and Insurance Agencies Executive Committee (SAİK) members attended.
At the meeting, SAİK made its assessments about the regulation and expressed the problems of insurance agencies. “We will not be involved in any transaction that would victimize insurance agencies,” Deputy Minister Aksu said.
It was decided during the meeting to intensify work in the following week and finalize the arrangements as soon as possible.
