Ali Kopuz: “As the private sector, we have understood the importance of standards”

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Ali Kopuz participated in the International Standardization Summit. In his speech here, Kopuz stated that civilizations have risen and life and societies have prospered socially and culturally in places where there is trade, and described what happened in the standard change.​

“Unfortunately, so far we have remained on the side of creating, designing, and implementing standards, but now we understand the importance of participating in standardization activities. It's so important that when a standard changes, we have to change the way we produce, or when we want to export, we face market barriers. As the Turkish private sector, we have grasped the importance of standards.”
