Mahmut Özgener attended MEYBEM Vocational Qualification Certification Ceremony

458 people who were involved in the motor vehicle trade and successfully completed their exams and received their Vocational Qualification Certificates, were presented their certificates at a ceremony held at the Izmir Chamber of Commerce.​

Following the entry into effect the Regulation on the Trade of Second-Hand Motor Vehicles issued by the Ministry of Trade, a vocation qualification certificate was made compulsory for the sale of second-hand vehicles. In this context, through the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) MEYBEM Vocational Qualification and Certification Center, the Izmir Chamber of Commerce Education and Health Foundation cooperation, participants who successfully completed vocational qualification certification received their certificates with a ceremony held at IZTO.

- “We broke a record in certification”

TOBB Board Member and Izmir Chamber of Commerce President Mahmut Özgener said in his speech at the ceremony:

“As you know, within the framework of the Regulation on the Trade of Used Motor Vehicles published in the Official Gazette No. 30331 dated February 13th 2018, the vocational qualification certificate became compulsory. All gallery owners and employees here have obtained Professional Competence Certificates, documenting their knowledge and experience in their professions according to international standards and fulfilling their legal obligations. Vocational Competence Certificates are of great importance for the improvement of service quality and the development of qualified labor force in the sectors. According to the Director General MEYBEM, Turkey broke the record for the number of people taking the general exam in one week. Next week, between 17-23 June, we will perform our 175-person exam program in Motor Vehicle Group.”

In his speech, TOBB MEYBEM President Ender Yorgancılar, who is also the President of EBSO, thanked Mahmut Özgener for his efforts at the Chamber and the University as well as his efforts to solve the problems by representing İzmir at TOBB.
