Regarding S&P’s grade increase, the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It’s late, this should’ve been done before.”​

 

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu traveled to Malatya with Grand National Assembly Commerce, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission President and National Assembly Malatya Representative Mücahit Fındıklı to attend the Regional Development Conference held by the Fırat Development Agency (FKA). Hisarcıklıoğlu was greeted at the airport by the Malatya Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Hasan Hüseyin Erkoç and the Malatya Commerce Exchange President Mehmet Tahir Kalaycıoğlu.

Answering reporters’ questions at the Malatya Erhaç Airport, Hisarcıklıoğlu, regarding the raising of Turkey domestic currency credit rating by the credit grade establishment S&P, stated his gratification and said, “Turkey’s situation has been verified. But we do not believe this to be sufficient.”

Stating that Turkey’s credit rating situation has already been disclosed by Fitche, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This is a verification of itche’s report. It’s late and should’ve been done before.”
