TIR system applications seminar organized for Qatar customs authorities

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), organized an information seminar for the Customs Administration of Qatar, which is a new party to the TIR Convention, and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry officials in regards to the functioning of the TIR system and application training.​

In the training carried out with the participation of Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and IRU representatives, the administrative structure for the execution of TIR operations, priorities regarding legal infrastructure, technical requirements and sharing of information within the inter-institutional cooperation, e-TIR Pilot Project, e-CMR and e-Transition Certificate projects were introduced. In addition, the Digital Tachograph Research and Application Center (STAUM) was visited and the various endeavors of TOBB explained.
