Yavuz said that in 40 years the cities will change in an unprecedented way in history, “According to the UN estimates, the world population is estimated to reach 9 billion people in 2050. By 2030, the population of developing countries is estimated to increase by 24%. In 2030, 60% of the world's population will live in cities. In 2050, the population living in cities will rise from 3.6 billion people to 6.3 billion people. 90% of this increase is estimated to be experienced in developing countries.”

Stating that cities are the prime competitors in the new world as opposed to countries, Yavuz stressed that centers with strong logistical infrastructure are ahead of the competition in this race.
