“The claim that there is a tension with the Prime Minister regarding appointments is not reflective of reality”

23.08.2011 / Ankara

The news article titled “Waiting for an appointment for 73 days” in today’s (23.08.2011) Vatan Gazette contains unjust views and is not factual.

There has been prolific contact, both over the phone and face to face, between our Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu since the elections of June 12th.
The claim that the TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu has requested an appointment numerous times during the last 73 days from Prime Minister Erdoğan and has yet to receive a reply is unfounded.

As a matter of fact, the TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu has attended the Somalia visit regarding the famine crisis by invitation of our Prime Minister.

We would like to state that we find the claims that there is tension between our Prime Minister and the TOBB President to be misleading and oppressive.

We respectfully inform the public that the news article contains claims and judgments which do not correspond with reality
