TOBB Board Member Şahin Bilgiç emphasized that they always support developing stronger economic relations with Iran and stated that they have been in close cooperation with various institutions in Iran.

Looking back at bilateral trade figures of recent years, Bilgiç stated that he is convinced of the Preferential Trade Agreement signed back in January will boost bilateral trade figures to new heights. He went on state that Turkey and Iran could complement each other with their respective fields of expertise, addressing deficiencies and creating joint added value.

Bilgiç went on to discuss the matters of investment opportunities in Iran and Turkey; the revitalization of the Silk Road as well as increasing energy needs and the possibility of joint investments.

During the last part of the seminar, over 250 bilateral business talks were arranged with Alfa Grup and Persian Farda Investment Financial Counsellors Institute signing an agreement for increasing bilateral cooperation.
