Interest for Turkey on the rise in the Gulf Region

Qatar Ambassador to Turkey Abdulrazak Al Abdulghani visited the TOBB President, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. During the meeting Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the high investment potential, saying that the trade between the two countries needs improvement. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Qatar is a country on the rise with the eyes of the world on it.

Hisarcıklıoğlu urged Al Abdulghani for Qatar’s support in Turkey’s Free Trade Agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Al Abdulghani stated that interest for Turkey is on the rise in the Gulf Region, especially in Qatar.  He went on to say that the investment encouragement laws were suitable in Qatar and that for the infrastructure work in preparation for the 2022 World Cup, Turkish construction companies were given priority and that there is ongoing cooperation in the energy sector, especially Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
