In his speech at the event, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they would never forget the “disaster of the century” that occurred on February 6, 2023, and offered his condolences to those who lost their lives in the earthquake.

Noting that the city holds an important place in the Turkish economy thanks to its industrial and production infrastructure, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Sixteen companies from Kahramanmaraş are among Türkiye’s top 1,000 industrial enterprises.” "Kahramanmaraş, one of our country’s iconic cities known for its ice cream, chili peppers, tarhana, wood carving, and copper craftsmanship, also possesses a strong production culture in the textile, yarn, metal kitchenware, paper, cement, agriculture, and food sectors," he said.

Noting that the solidarity displayed in the city after the earthquake demonstrated its resolve to get back on its feet, Hisarcıklıoğlu said: “With the TUSAŞ investment, Kahramanmaraş will also leave its mark on the defense industry. We already have four organized industrial zones, but they are not enough. With its production capacity, Kahramanmaraş is one of the driving forces of the Turkish economy. Our national goal of a strong Türkiye can be achieved through strong cities. Kahramanmaraş, with its entrepreneurial spirit, hardworking people, and strong industrial production capacity, is at the forefront of the cities that will make this possible.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu noted that the new service building of the Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry will add value to the city, stating that it will enable the provision of higher-quality services to members and contribute to the city’s development.

Mustafa Buluntu, President of the Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also said they were proud and delighted to be opening the new service building in 2026, which coincides with the chamber’s 100^th anniversary.

The program concluded with the presentation of plaques to those who contributed to the construction of the service building and the cutting of the ribbon.
