Speaking at the ceremony, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Today, we are all witnessing the opening of a very beneficial investment. My dear brothers and sisters, we are delighted to have brought a modern service center for our Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce to our city. As you know, the new service building is essentially a visionary project. It is also the product of a modern management philosophy aimed at providing the best and highest-quality service to its members and enriching the city. It is, in fact, an investment in the city’s future. The service provided by our Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce is truly five-star. Now, when you look at where the world’s five-star chambers are located, Paris, London, Berlin, the quality of service they provide to their members is also five-star. In other words, our Eskişehir is now on par with Paris, London, and Berlin,” he said.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Eskişehir is one of Türkiye’s most livable cities and a city whose name has become a brand. It is one of the safest cities in the world. It is a city of commerce, industry, education, tourism, and high technology. It is also a hub for Western Anatolia. We should be grateful every day for being from Eskişehir in Anatolia, shouldn’t we? Türkiye’s first domestically produced locomotive, Karakurt, and our first national car, Devrim, were manufactured here. We, too, have carried this legacy forward. Together with you, we produced Togg, Türkiye’s first domestically produced and national electric car, which we pioneered. For the past two years, Togg has been the market leader domestically, and starting this year, it will expand abroad, making its first export to the European market, a key destination for high-tech products. With the Eskişehir Technology Development Zone and 19 R&D centers, the city has transformed into a global brand producing cutting-edge technology products. Eskişehir is situated at the exact intersection of the Ankara-Istanbul-Antalya highway axis. It is at the heart of the Ankara-İstanbul high-speed rail line. The Eskişehir Hasanbey Logistics Center, spanning 540,000 square meters, has an annual transportation capacity of 1.4 million metric tons. We also have three organized industrial zones where infrastructure work is ongoing. The Eskişehir OIZ, with an area of 32 million square meters, is Türkiye’s second-largest OIZ on a single parcel,” he said.

At the end of his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “According to the TOBB industrial database, Eskişehir is the province with the highest production capacity for 54 of the 4,000 industrial products manufactured in our country, and ranks among the top three in Türkiye in terms of production capacity for 176 of them. What sets this city apart is its capability for medium-to-high and high-tech production. In the aviation, rail systems, and defense industries, Eskişehir is now synonymous with technology. Eskişehir serves as a global hub for boron and rare earth elements, among the world’s most strategic minerals. Eskişehir’s greatest assets are its people, its universities, and its culture of production. We have three very large universities here. Eskişehir is one of Türkiye’s leading provinces in terms of literacy rates, the proportion of higher education graduates in the total population, and the rate of women’s participation in the workforce. Nationwide, a total of 73,000 companies have accessed 100 billion liras in loans. In Eskişehir, 1,164 companies, the majority of which are members of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), have utilized 1.6 billion liras in relief loans. Of course, this is not enough. That is why we have held discussions to increase the credit limits backed by the Credit Guarantee Fund (KGF). We expect these discussions to yield positive results in the near future,” he stated.
