TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in a post on his social media account, “We held our TOBB 82^nd General Assembly with the participation of our Minister of Trade, Mr. Ömer Bolat. May it bring blessings to our country and the business world. I would like to thank all Chamber and Commodity Exchange Presidents, Assembly members, delegates, and women and young entrepreneurs who joined us from 81 provinces and districts. Together with our Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, we will continue to monitor, voice, and find solutions to the challenges faced by our members. All countries are focused on protecting their own production capacity. We must view our companies and production facilities as our national assets and protect them to ensure that our country’s production, investment, employment, and export capacities are not harmed. During this period, we need to design a comprehensive ‘Industrial Protection and Transformation Strategy,’ he said.

In a post, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat noted that they had met with representatives of the business community who contribute to the country’s production capacity, export capabilities, and economic development. Bolat emphasized that with a national income exceeding $1.6 trillion, the country has risen to a stronger position in the global economy through a growth model based on the export of goods and services. Noting that they had achieved one of the most significant successes in the history of the Republic by reaching $273.3 billion in goods exports and $122.6 billion in services exports last year, Bolat stated that Türkiye continues to enhance its global competitive strength through strong performance in high-tech manufacturing, the defense and aerospace industries, logistics, software, e-commerce, and the services sector.
