In his speech here, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his pleasure at being in Elazığ, saying, “First of all, three years have passed since the indescribable pain of February 6. I pray for God's mercy on our citizens who lost their lives. This is my fifteenth visit to Elazığ. I am deeply honored to be in Elazığ, the land of the Gakkoş people, which is sacred for its history, culture, and people. Elazığ is the center of attraction and appeal in Eastern Anatolia; it is the center of agriculture, trade, and industry. Three organized industrial zones are currently operational, and two more are on the way. This picture is the result of the strong steps Elazığ has taken in agriculture and trade. Exports in January increased fivefold compared to last year, rising to $40 million, and Elazığ has become the region's export leader with this performance. The Elazığ Organized Agricultural Zone is being established and will be added to our city. I would like to thank our governor, our deputies, and our mayor for their efforts in realizing this vision, and I wholeheartedly congratulate all the entrepreneurs who are contributing to Elazığ's economy by participating in this fair.”
