Following the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu shared on social media: "Our pride, Fatih Ümit Çetin. A brother of ours who was born visually impaired. He is pushing the boundaries of possibility, writing a success story filled with determination and resolve. May he achieve many more successes.
He entered TOBB ETÜ as the 23rd in Türkiye. He double-majored in Business Administration, Political Science, and International Relations. He graduated from TOBB ETÜ in 2013 with a 4.0 GPA and top honors. He completed his master’s degree at Koç University, again with top honors. Fatih, who completed his doctorate at the University of Massachusetts, conducted academic research in the United States.
I work as an advisor to our Minister of Family and Social Services, Ms. Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş. I develop projects aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
We met with Fatih Ümit Çetin. We had a conversation. I listened to his projects. I felt proud. He is a wonderful example of how individuals with disabilities can be successful in every area of life. I am proud of the achievements of our TOBB ETÜ students," he said.
