“The victory of August 30 is an achievement without precedent in the world.”

TOBB President M Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who issued a message on 30 August Victory Day, stated that 30 August is the work of a determination and belief that is unique in the world. He said: “There is no precedent in the world for this victory achieved under the leadership of Commander-in-chief Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. August 30, 1922 is the date on which it was announced that our nation would never give up its independence.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu also gave the following statements in his message:
“The Great Offensive launched by the Turkish army in Afyon on 26 August to clear the occupying forces from Anatolia, was victorious in Dumlupinar by destroying the enemies under the direction of Commander-in-chief Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
This great victory is a picture of the unity and solidarity with character of our nation. It's a day of pride for all of us.
Our noble nation has never renounced its values such as flag, homeland and independence throughout history.
Our great nation, which has always been in favor of peace at home and in the world, has never shunned anything when it covets its independence and homeland.
We are thankful and grateful to all our martyrs and veterans, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who sacrificed their lives for our sacred values and our future and laid the foundations of the opportunities we have today.
With these feelings and thoughts, I congratulate all our people on August 30th Victory Day on behalf of the Turkish business community.
