“We have renewed 10 customs gates without spending a cent of the state”

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they’ve renewed Turkey's 10 largest border crossings without spending a single cent from the treasury.”​

Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech at the signing ceremony of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry held in Kazakhstan's capital, Nur Sultan, stated that Kazakhstan is the heart of the Eurasian and Turkic geography.”

Referring to the founder President Nursultan Nazarbayev as an elder of the Turkic world, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The progress made by Kazakhstan under Nazarbayev makes us happy and proud. His visionary leadership is a great chance not only for Kazakhstan but also for our region and the Turkic world.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Kazakhstan is accepted by the whole world thanks to Nazarbayev, is a successful and respectable state, “Nazarbayev built Kazakhstan on solid foundations.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu said that changing the name of the capital Astana to Nur Sultan was a show of exemplary fidelity and said, “We appreciate Kazakhstan. Nazarbayev could not be given a better gift than this.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu, underlining that TOBB is an organization that represents the entire private sector in Turkey, stated that in terms of service capacity and their work, they are one of the three most advanced chamber systems in the world, being involved in global business organizations as well.

Stating that Turkey is an example in support and development of private sector around the world, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “As TOBB, we are always ready and will continue to share our experiences with our brothers in this regard.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the volume of trade between Turkish-speaking countries should be increased and one of the important issues in trade is the customs transitions.

Reporting that they have a great amount of experience in renewing customs gates as TOBB, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “So far, we have renewed Turkey's 10 largest border crossings without spending a single cent from the treasury.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu added that the projects they carried out are pointed to as examples throughout the world by the United Nations and they want to transfer their experiences to brother countries.
