Call for council members to inform business people in their regions on opportunities and incentives

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu convened with council members at the Chambers / Exchanges Councilor Briefing Seminar. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they conveyed the requests received from the members to the authorities and provided information on the various implementations made so far, “You are the opinion leaders of your regions. Advise business people in your regions to benefit from the opportunities and incentives provided. Inform them.”​

Stating that they decided to conduct the Council Members Briefing Seminars following the 2013 chamber / commodity exchange elections, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the seminars held during that period garnered 4.8 out of 5 in satisfaction via feedback.

Stating that they are going through a difficult period as the Turkish business world, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that TOBB has taken to the field and that they convened with the heads of the 365 chambers / exchanges. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the requests and problems of the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges in these meetings were conveyed to all the ministers, especially President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. They met with the Turkey Banks Union to solve their problems with the banks, holding consultation meetings in 13 provinces Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that bankers are listening to the problems of real sector firsthand for the first time.

- Actions taken

Hisarcıklıoğlu informed the members of the council about the actions taken in regards to the demands of the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges such as the short working allowance, maturity of SSI premium debts, minimum wage support for employers, liquidation and transfer contracts, technical insolvency problem, commercial receivable insurance, support for licensed warehousing, removal of pasture fund, VAT and SCT reductions for domestic market, problems related to foreign exchange contracts and exports. He also said that the issues such as the closure of commercial vehicles, the restructuring of SME and agricultural loans, the reduction of the mortgage loan rates and the SME Value Loan have been resolved.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu also provided information on employment, financing, tax, legislation and support.

Stressing the importance of unity and solidarity, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that after the chamber / commodity exchange elections, all council members should unite around the president and the board of directors, and even if they thought differently; they should adopt the decisions of the council as their own.
