Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his statement regarding the announcement of tax cuts for specific sectors by Treasury and the Finance Minister Berat Albayrak, said, “Thank you very much for this approach. We are very happy to see our government stand by the private sector.”

Stating that Turkey's economy has undergone an important test in the last 3 months, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “What we experienced in recent years in the foreign exchange and interest rates has shown us once again the acumen and strength of Turkey's economy and the Turkish private sector. In this process, we are very pleased to identify problems and provide solutions through public-private sector cooperation. We have seen today that our demands for the support of sectors such as automotive, home appliances, furniture and housing, which are primarily affected by the recession in the markets, have been met. We would like to express our gratitude to our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and to our Minister Mr. Berat Albayrak. As TOBB community, we will continue to convey the problems of our private sector to the relevant authorities and develop solutions together. I hope that all tax deductions will be beneficial to all our sectors.”
