Organized through partnership of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, Orhangazi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO), Orhangazi District Governorship, Orhangazi Municipality and Gedelek Development Cooperative, the festival, began with a 3-minute court walk through the Gedelek neighborhood. Addressing the participants after the march, Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated the district administrators and the people for acting in unity and solidarity. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The municipality, the governor and the chamber are working hand in hand. They are hosting this beautiful festival. This is the magic formula of success. If you maintain this unity in every endeavor, you can easily overcome every problem. Orhangazi is a different and special city. We are proud of Orhangazi, the name of our glorious ancestors.

- Gedelek pickles will come to mind alongside Orhangazi

Stating that Gedelek pickle will come to mind alongside Orhangazi just as it is with Inegöl Meatballs, Kemalpaşa dessert and Gemlik olives, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Thanks to the Orhangazi CCI, you’ve registered the geographical marker for it as well. Now, everyone has to come and get permission from you and our Chamber. Hopefully, the geographical marker will pave the way for Gedelek Pickle to be recognized and developed throughout the country and the world. This is a matter of business vision.”

The TOBB President expressed that, in order to provide a better future for the members, the chamber has made all these investments with a stronger Orhangazi in mind. The TOBB President congratulated the former President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ergün Efendioğlu and and the newly elected Erol Hatırlı who worked ceaselessly in order to develop and enrich Orhangazi.

- Opportunities before Orhangazi

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The great opportunity for Orhangazi is the Istanbul-Izmir motorway. It will definitely add a value. I told you before. This highway, which respects our history and our ancestors, should be named as, Orhangazi Highway. We would like to see the Orhangazi Motorway in the continuation of Osman Gazi Bridge. May the festival bring good earnings to Orhangazi.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the booths and received information from the participants. Later, participation plaques and pickle baskets were presented to the protocol.
