Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Adana is the locomotive of the industrialization in Anatolia and said, “It is the apple in our country’s eye with fertile lands and entrepreneurial people. There's dynamism here. There is motion. There's plenty. When we look at trade volume, Adana is among the top ten export cities. Ten years ago, there were 15 big companies in Adana among the top thousand large corporations. Today the number has risen to 23. We also started attracting over a billion tourists. Adana is also the star of agriculture in Turkey. This is Turkey's most fertile region. Çukurova is one of the biggest plains in the world and our country. We were able to become one of the top 3 cities in greenhouses.”

Adana, he pointed out, is not afraid to put in the work for Turkey with its brave traders and industrialists. The TOBB President said, “Under your leadership, in the campaign we launched last year for employment, Adana has kept its word. Each of our companies in Adana provided at least one additional employment. Adana is determined to continue this performance in 2018. We carried out the first National Employment Mobilization Meeting with our Labor Minister at the beginning of this month in Adana. The EU Joint Consultative Committee meeting was held for the first time in Adana with the invitation and hosting of the European Union Ministry. We introduced Adana to the European business world.”

Stating that one of the 5 mega industrial zones to be created as described by President Erdoğan will be in Yumurtalık, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I hope Adana mega industrial will also be Turkey’s energy generation heart. I believe that Adana mega industrial zone will contribute a great deal to increasing employment, exports and investments of the Adana.

Hisarcıklıoğlu continued as: “I also see very important steps taken by the President of the Republic that emphasize unity and stability. We know and appreciate the value of stability as the business community. Because we have not forgotten how we suffered when stability disappeared. That is why we must maintain confidence and stability in our country. Of course there are strains, but we trust ourselves and our country. Many obstacles have been removed. But despite all this, we have proved once again that we are dynamic and productive with our growth rate. We have overcome many problems with the private sector state co-operation that the President of Turkey has made possible. I hope that after 24 June we will work closely with our state again and overcome problems.”
