Making a statement after the visit TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that for the world there is major humanity lesson to be learned from Reyhanlı and Hatay, also Reyhanlı being the city which paid the price for terrorism in Syria.

Hisarcıklıoğlu included followings in his statement:

“As leading organisations of our country also representing civil society and business world of Turkey; as ASKON, HAK-İŞ, MEMUR-SEN, MÜSİAD, KAMU-SEN, TESK, TİM, TOBB, TÜGİAD, TÜMSİAD, TÜRK-İŞ, Union of Turkish Bar Associations TÜRKONFED, we are greeting you with respect.

Turkey, within Syria’s territorial integrity, is conducting a major operation in order to clear off the region from terrorist organisations and maintain the peace. Within the support visit, today paying visit to Kilis and Hatay. This morning we were in Kilis. We visited our Esteemed Governor. We also paid visit to families of citizens who become martyr during the villainous attacks by the terrorist in Kilis and Kırıkhan.

As we visited tradesmen and merchants in Reyhanlı, we also met up with District Governor Esteemed Fatih Çobanoğlu. Our Esteemed District Governor is conducting a very important task during a very difficult period. We thank him. Soon we also will be visiting Cilvegözü Border Gate and field hospital. 

In recent period our neighbouring cities to Syria took great responsibility. Yet Hatay is one of those. The population of Reyhanlı is 92 thousand, number of welcomed Syrians is 125 thousand. So, Reyhanlı is hosting number of guests more than its own population. When we look Hatay, that figure is 390 thousand. Nowhere in the world that you can see such similar case.

For the world there is major humanity lesson to be learned from Reyhanlı and Hatay, also Reyhanlı is the city which paid the price for terrorism in Syria.

Allah willing, we shall deal a blow to this terror by the operation conducted by Turkish Armed Forces. Everyone should realise that being the part of same civilisation, culture and belief, nobody can destroy the friendship between us based on brotherhood and neighbourhood. Nobody can stir up trouble between us and set us against each other, cannot make enemy of each other. As the civil society and business world of Turkey, we are standing by our state and nation.

Hereby, we wish for Allah’s mercy and grace for those soldiers and citizens of ours who become martyr yesterday, may rest them in peace. May Allah protect our Robin and make our army triumphant. May Allah be our love and guide.”
