TOBB President and the TOBB Economy and Technology University (ETU) Board of Trustees Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in a message published on 24 November Teachers' Day that, “We once again extend our gratitude to our beloved teachers, who labor over our youth to whom we have entrusted our nation’s future.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu's message included the following statements:

“Teachers play a major role in shaping the future of the nation. Despite all the difficulties of life and great responsibilities, our teachers continue to give the most lasting and serious contribution to the young generation of children with great devotion; it is our greatest assurance in our future.

Our teachers, as Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said, are aware that, ‘The new generation will be their own work.'

Any contribution to the field of education is the greatest investment for the prosperity of our country. Because societies which don’t give importance to education cannot hold any gains in their hands.

Having acted with this in mind, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, having built 81 schools, continues to put forward the financial and moral contribution that it has been able to.

We are grateful to our teachers who have provided the most precious effort in our country reaching where it stands and in the growth of our country.

On behalf of the Turkish business community, I offer our teachers and our education community our sincerest gratitude on celebrating Teachers' Day.”
