“Can’t have strong members without strong chambers”

TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech at the Value Contributors to the Amasya Economy Awards Ceremony stated that he is honored to be present at the event, “First of all I would like to thank you for the warm welcome. The governor and the parliamentary representative is also with us on this beautiful day. They give us both courage and morale.”​

Pointing out that Amasya is a city of scholars and princes, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This is the city which sired Yıldırım, Fatih, Yavuz, Akşemsettin, Yasar Doğu. The place where the birth of the Republic of Turkey was heralded. This is an honor befitting Amasya. Amasya is rightly proud of this rich and brilliant history. Another source of pride for Amasya is those present in this hall. My entrepreneur brothers who fill this hall. I am thankful to Amasya businessmen and businesswomen who take risks, make the sacrifice, produce, employ and export, and pay the taxes on time.”

Stating that he is greatly proud of the Amasya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hisarcıklıoğlu underlined the fact the Amasya CCI is a 5 star accredited chamber, providing its members of with the same quality of service as any chamber in Berlin, Paris, or London.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Without strong chambers, there can be no strong members. Without strong members, there can be no powerful economy. Amasya chamber addresses all the problems of entrepreneurs. Amasya CCI Chair Murat Kırlangıç, with his hard work, gives his all with his vision. We work together at TOBB. We work together at the Tax Commission. Consultation and common sense are very important. Chairman Kırlangıç took important steps in this regard. With the slogan ‘Our Unity is Our Power’ in Amasya, the chambers bring the business community together at quarterly meetings.

Stating that the biggest complaint of the business community is tax burdens on employment, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that Amasya has kept its word in regards to the Employment Mobilization initiated by TOBB, generating an additional 3,000 jobs during the first six months, becoming one of the three most successful Black Sea provinces.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the second major complaint is in regards to finance and that TOBB’s Respite Credit, zero-interest KOSGEB loans and the Credit Guarantee Fund has provided support to 600,000.

Amasya is a world-famous city on the UNESCO World Heritage List with its historical and cultural treasures. It's on the Temporary List at the moment, but with the work of the governor, municipality and chamber, it is on its way to enter the permanent list. This year's goal is 650,000 tourists. Chairman Kırlangıç kept the target high in this case too. Together with the Amasya Governor and Mayor they are are focused on their target of a million tourists and they are going to cooperate with THY. There are two very important projects for Amasya. The Samsun-Amasya-Ankara high-speed train project and the opening of Merzifon Airport to international flights. When these are completed, none can stand before Amasya.”

Amasya TSO Chairman Murat Kırlangıç ​​provided information about the chamber’s activities. Kırlangıç ​​stated that they did not have a provincial representative of TSE in Amasya and stated that they are working to address this matter and requested support from Hisarcıklıoğlu. Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that if an office was allocated and a mechanical engineer was assigned, a TSE Provincial Representative office would be opened.
