Hisarcıklıoğlu elected Vice President of Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu was re-elected as the Vice President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture at the General Assembly held in Oman. Hisarcıklıoğlu, who met with Oman Trade and Industry Minister Al Sunaid, advocated for more investment opportunities for Turkish companies in Oman. Minister Al Sunaid also made a joint investment call in third countries, indicating that they wanted to see Turkish entrepreneurs in his country.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who attended the General Assembly and the Board of Directors meetings of the Islamic Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Chamber held in Muscat, the capital of Oman, was reelected as Vice Chairman of the Chamber.

 

Elections for the offices of President, Vice President and Finance Committee were held during the General Assembly meeting hosted by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and attended by the Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Sultanate of Oman, Ali Bin Masoud Al Sunaid. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu was elected the Vice President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the third time. Sheikh Salih Kamil representing the Council of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Saudi Arabia, who presided in the previous term, was re-elected as President while the Presidents of the Egyptian and Qatar Chambers Unions were also re-elected as Vice-Presidents.

 

Minister Al Sunaid and M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu also gave speeches at the General Assembly, while Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Chamber of Commerce President Fikri Toros informed the participants about the TRNC economy and invited the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture to the TRNC. TOBB Vice President Ali Kopuz also participated in the meeting.

 

- Oman Industry Minister calls on Turkish companies

 

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu was received by Sultanate of Oman's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ali Bin Masoud Al Sunaid, on the occasion of his visit to Muscat, the capital of Oman.

 

During the meeting, which was also attended by Turkey's Ambassador to Muscat Atatay Ersan, TOBB Vice President Ali Kopuz and Muscat Trade Consultant Murat Göğüş, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they wanted to strengthen Turkey-Oman trade relations and requested support from Minister Sunaid.

 

Minister Sunaid invited Turkish entrepreneurs to invest more in Oman, informing them of investment opportunities. He also emphasized that there are common investment opportunities in the third countries, especially in Africa.

 

Chairman Saeed Al Kiyumi of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Fikri Toros, President of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce of North Cyprus also participated in the meeting.

 

- Joint understanding

 

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Saeed Al Kiyumi, President of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Oman CCI). During the meeting, a consensus was reached in regards to the development of relations between TOBB and Oman CCI and the signing of an agreement that would form the framework of mutual cooperation.

 

Hisarcıklıoğlu also held talks with the President of the Confederation of Azerbaijan National Entrepreneurs Organizations Mohammed Musayev, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Chamber of Commerce Fikri Toros, Chairman of Federation of Egyptian Trade and Industry Chambers Ahmet Al Wakil, Jordan Chamber of Commerce and Arab Chamber of Union President Nail Kabariti.
