Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Theoretical and practical certification exam for construction workers, woodworkers, concrete workers, wall and scaffolding workers were held in Trabzon on the 10^th and 11^th of October.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the examination center. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that 48 professions are required to acquire certification in order to prevent casualties in hazardous professions; he said that soon all professions classified as hazardous and very hazardous would require certification.

Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that a total of 3,000 people have been certified in 2016 with 1,000 certified in the Black Sea Region. Reminding that certification costs would be provided by unemployment insurance funds until the end of 2017, Hisarcıklıoğlu provided additional information in regards to the benefits of certification including waiving of insurance costs for employers.

Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated Trabzon CCI for offering its members such services and urged all entrepreneurs to apply to MEYBEM.

Successful entrants to the exams on the 10^th and 11^th of October will be eligible to receive Vocational Proficiency Certificates in their fields.

Founded by TOBB to provide MYK Vocational Proficiency Certificates for professions classified as hazardous and very hazardous, MEYBEM has successfully completed its TÃœRKAK and MYK inspections, becoming authorized to provide examination and certification in 7 new professions, reaching a total of 19 fields.

Construction Group: Wood Molder Level 3, Reinforced Concrete Blacksmith Level 3, Concrete Worker Level 3, Bricklayers Level 3, Wharf Installation Personnel Level 3, Plasterers Level 3, Ceramic Tile Plater Level 3, Heat Isolation Level 3, Panel Molder Level 3, Construction Worker Level 2 (Regular Construction worker).

Elevator Group: Elevator Maintenance and Repairers Level 3, Elevator Maintenance and Repairers Level 4

Metal Group: Sheet Metal Worker Level 3, Sheet Metal Worker Level 4, Steel Welding Level 3

Machinery Group: CNC Programmer Level 4, CNC Programmer Level 5, Machine Maintenance Worker Level 3, Machine Maintenance Worker Level 4.
