Hisarcıklıoğlu praised unity and solidarity of Malatya

In Malatya with the Minister for Customs and Commerce, Bülent Tüfenkci, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Malatya Commodity Exchange Chair Gürsel Özbey at his office, following which he attended the opening of the Malatya CCI’s new building. Hisarcıklıoğlu praised the unity and solidarity of the people of Malatya, pointing out that the traders and industrialists of Malatya have opened up to the world.​

During his speech at the Malatya CCI building opening, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, touched on the coup attempt of July 15th and congratulated the city for its bravery in the face of this heinous attempt.

Stating that Minister Tüfenkci has a private-sector-friendly approach, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the Minister is held in high esteem by his fellow Malatya locals, thanking him for his understanding and the importance he puts on consultation.

Reporting that Malatya TSO has become accredited, providing 5-star service to its members, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The industrialists and traders of Malatya deserve the best service available.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that Malatya’s economic figures are above the national average in the number of commercial establishments, exports and protested cheques. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that this is due to the robust unity and solidarity encountered in Malatya as well as the ethical approach of its traders and industrialists.

Stating that reforms are underway in regards to taxes and premium debts at the TGNA, the TOBB President said, “Hopefully the new structure will enable Malatya to go even further.”

- Condolences to Hisarcıklıoğlu

Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the Trade and Industry Summit will be held in September at TOBB, under the auspices of Minister Tüfenkci wherein the community will find opportunity to voice their concerns and wishes to the government directly. Hisarcıklıoğlu also extended his condolences to the CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu whose convoy was the target of a terror attack in Artvin wherein a soldier lost his life. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the nation would stand against all terror attacks.

- Visit to Malatya Commodity Exchange

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Malatya Commodity Exchange with the Minister for Customs and Commerce, Bülent Tüfenkci, AKP Parliament Representatives Harun Karacan and Erdoğan Özegen as well as the chairs of chambers and exchanges from Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia.

Hisarcıklıoğlu exchanged ideas with the representatives of the business community during the visit while Minister Tüfenkci stated that the Prime Minister would be announcing the new incentives packages for Eastern and Southeastern regions in the coming days.

Tüfenkci went on to stress the importance of maintaining the effectiveness of exchanges, pointing out the efforts to develop product specialized exchanges.

To commemorate the visit, Malatya Commodity Exchange Chair Gürsel Özbey presented Minister Tüfenkci with a painting and Malatya’s signature apricots.

- Consultation with Eastern and Southeastern business community

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, Minister Tüfenkci and those accompanying them participated in the consultation meeting with the representatives of the business community of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. The meeting which focused on the regions’ economy took place closed to the press.

The delegation also visited Mayor Ahmet Çakır.
