Hisarcıklıoğlu extends his condolences to Elazığ

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with the Customs and Commerce Minister Bülent Tüfenkci, paid a condolatory visit to Elazığ. The visit began with Elazığ Governor Murat Zorluoğlu followed by a visit to the Provincial Police Headquarters.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu, Minister Tüfenkci and those accompanying them visited those wounded in the attack at the hospital to boost morale.

Also present at the visit to Elazığ Governor Murat Zorluoğlu in addition to TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Customs and Commerce Minister Bülent Tüfenkci were AK Party Representatives Harun Karaca, Erdoğan Özegen and Ejder Açıkkapı.

 

Minister Tüfenkci said in his speech that the attack on the Provincial Police Headquarters has united Elazığ against terror as a single heart and voice, an example to all of Turkey.

 

- Visiting those wounded at the Police Department

 

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Customs and Commerce Minister Bülent Tüfenkci and AK Party Representatives Harun Karaca, Erdoğan Özegen visited the Police Headquarters. Afterwards they visited those wounded during the attack.

 

Stating that the operation in Syria is coordinated with coalition powers, Tüfenkci emphasized that this is well within Turkey’s rights to defend itself and to secure its borders by sweeping ISIS forces from the region, “We’ve always defended the territorial integrity of Syria. This is why we have acted.”

 

- Visit to Martyr Sönmez’s family and chamber/exchange

 

Afterwards, Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Elazığ CCI Chair İdris Alan and Elazığ Commodity Exchange Chair Mehmet Ali Dumandağ as well as Mehmet Sönmez to extend their condolences, the father of Ömer Sönmez who was the police officer killed druing an IED attack on by the PKK in Viranşehir, Şanlıurfa.

Following the visit to the father of the martyr, Hisarcıklıoğlu and Tüfenkci visited tradesmen of the district and extended their condolences for the attack on the police headquarters.

 

The delegation then visited Elazığ Union of Craftsmen and Tradesmen Chair Cemil Erdem. Minister Tüfenkci stated during the visit that the attack of August 18th was aimed at the peace, unity and solidarity of the city, which was met with a united outcry of its people in the streets.
