The Coordination Council for the Improvement of the Investment Environment (YOİKK) Steering Meeting, headed by Undersecretary of Treasury İbrahim Halil Çanakçı realized at TOBB to discuss 2011-2012 action plan proposals.

​In 37th Steering Meeting, realized with the participation of TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz, the improvement proposals for the well functioning of the YOİKK platform was assesed and the action plan proposals for the 12 technical committees were discussed.   A document, which is reflecting the private sector views; TOBB, TÜSAİD, TİM and YASED including the action plan proposals of 12 technical committes was presented.   The proposals will be discussed in the coming days with public and private sector and finalized in the V. Kızılcahamam Investment Conference which will be realized on 3-5 March 2011.   In addition to the Undersecretary of Treasury  İbrahim Halil Çanakçı, Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of Finance Seyit Ahmet Baş, Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of Justice Mustafa Kökçam, Deputy Undersecretary of State Planning Organization M. Cüneyd Düzyol, Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of Social Security and Labour Ahmet Zahteroğulları, Deputy Undersecretary of Undersecretariat of Customs Arslan Günler, Deputy Undersecretary of Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade Bülent Uğur Ecevit, Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of Industry and Trade Niyazi İlter, Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of Culture and Tourism Nihat Gül,  General Manager of Ministry of Industry and Trade İsmail Yücel, Deputy General Manager of Ministry of Public Works and Settlement Bülent Ercan, President of Turkish Patent Institute Habib Asan, President of Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey İlker Aycı, Deputy President of Capital Markets Board of Turkey Bekir Sıtkı Şafak, Deputy President of TÜBİTAK Ömer Anlağan, Secretary General of TOBB Mustafa Saraçöz, Secretary General of TÜSİAD Zafer Ali Yavan, Secretary General of YASED Özlem Yiğit and Deputy Secretary General of TİM İsmet Yalçın participated to the meeting.   What is YOİKK?   In order to rationalize bureaucratic procedures and reduce red tape, a comprehensive reform program was launched in 2001 by Council of Ministers Leading Decision. One of the part of the reform program to reflect views and priorities of the private sector representatives is the The Coordination Council for the Improvement of the Investment Environment (YOIKK).    YOİKK, has become a key structure where private sector makes contributions in the process of improving investment climate. The Council conducts its agenda with the help of 12 Technical Committees working on specific issues with participation of both public and private institutions. YOIKK is described as a success story of public-private platform in international arena.   YOIKK aims to rationalize the regulations on investments in Turkey, develop policies by determining the necessary arrangements that will enhance the competitiveness of the investment environment, generate solutions to the administrative barriers encountered by the domestic and international investors in all phases of the investment process including the operating period.
