Turkey-EU relations assessed during meeting attended by NGOs

TOBB president M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the “Turkey-EU Relations” meeting held in Ankara by the EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and attended by NGO representatives.​

 

During the part of the meeting open to the press, EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that NGOs play an important role and contribute greatly to enacting reforms in Turkey in addition to the EU negotiation process.

 

Çavuşoğlu thanked Füle for the advance of the negotiation process with minimal issues and that the various reforms enacted are being assessed.

 

Drawing attention to the importance of NGOs in Turkey-EU relations, Çavuşoğlu stated that NGOs would also contribute to the matters of “preliminary rulings”.

 

Çavuşoğlu, touching on the reforms enacted in Turkey during the last 12 years, said, “Just as the EU negotiation process has been a driving force, NGOs have play an important role and contribute greatly to Turkey.”
