“Peace, stability and the rule of law are imperative for the continuation of the positive development of Turkey”

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Deputy Prime Minister Emrullah İşler and the Youth and Sports Minister Çağatay Kılıç to congratulate him on his appointment. Drawing attention to the concepts of peace, stability and the rule of law, Hisarcıklıoğlu defined these as imperative for the continuation of the positive development of Turkey in the last 10 years.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We will be working closely with the Minister as the Turkish business community. The developments of the recent days are known to all. On top of all this, the Central American Bank has decreased the flow of currency. These two developments have caused fluctuations in the exchange and interest rates of our country.”

 

Stating that Turkey needs to invest more in order to attain its 2023 goals, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that one million new people are joining the workforce each year, “In just the first 9 months of this year, we have invested a total of 125 billion TL as the Turkish private sector. With this, we have provided employment to 470,000 people.”

 

- “We must focus more on preserving our companies”

 

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that companies need to be protected more and that their domestic and international esteem are important, emphasizing that it should not be so easily besmirched.

 

Stating that discussion must remain within the confines of a state of constitutional law, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Peace, stability and the rule of law are imperative for the continuation of the positive development of Turkey.” Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the need for support from TİKA and Overseas Relatives Community.

 

Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed that the Turkish business community, DEİK and business councils are ready to provide the government with all support in their efforts to better the country.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Emrullah İşler said, “All that we have gained in the last 11 years is a result of the political stability and the resulting economic stability.

 

Thanking Hisarcıklıoğlu for his visit, İşler stated that they aim to nurture active and intensive relations with the Turkish business community.

 

Afterwards, Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Youth and Sports Minister Çağatay Kılıç at his office, closed to the press.

 

Hisarcıklıoğlu presented the Deputy Prime Minister with a compendium of Necip Fazıl’s complete works prepared by TOBB.
