In his remarks at the meeting, Bayburtlu highlighted the importance of developing trade, investment, and private-sector cooperation among D-8 countries, emphasizing that the halal economy offers significant opportunities for member countries.

The meeting, organized by the FPCCI, was attended by D-8 Secretary-General Ambassador Sohail Mahmood, FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh, FPCCI Senior Vice President Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, former D-8 Chamber of Commerce and Industry Secretary-General Ashraf ul Haq Chaudhary, Director General Irfan Soomro of the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives from the Consulates General of Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Türkiye in Karachi. The meeting addressed the strengthening of economic integration in the D-8 region, the expansion of trade and investment opportunities, and future areas of cooperation.
