Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Organized to strengthen the women’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, develop a shared vision, and enhance regional cooperation and marking the 12^th regional meeting of the term, the event brought together provincial council chairs and executive committee members from across the region.

Opening remarks were delivered by Akgün Altuğ, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Nurcan Babalık, TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council Marmara Regional Representative and Chair of the TOBB Kocaeli Women Entrepreneurs Council; and Elvan Bilgehan Dikici, Chair of the TOBB Sakarya Women Entrepreneurs Council.

In her speech, Altuğ said, “At this meeting, organized by Elvan Bilgehan Dikici, Chair of the TOBB Sakarya Women Entrepreneurs Council Executive Committee, and the members of the executive committee, we will evaluate the work of our councils. We appreciate and support the close collaboration among our Women Entrepreneurs Councils in Sakarya, Balıkesir, Bilecik, Bursa, Kocaeli, and Yalova, as they contribute to the women’s entrepreneurship ecosystem in our country and work together to ensure employment opportunities and equal opportunities. I wish them success in the work they will carry out in this regard. We will always stand by them.”

Elvan Bilgehan Dikici, Chair of the Executive Committee of the TOBB Sakarya Women Entrepreneurs Council, gave a presentation on the work and projects being carried out in the province.

Nurcan Babalık, TOBB Provincial Women’s Entrepreneurship Council Marmara Regional Representative and Chair of the TOBB Kocaeli Women’s Entrepreneurship Council, assessed the region’s entrepreneurship ecosystem through a presentation she regularly shares at each meeting. She briefed participants on the decisions made at the executive committee meetings.

As part of the event, participants received training on “Stress Management for Working Women.”

The meeting was attended by Buse Tellioğlu Altındiş, Chair of the TOBB Balıkesir Women’s Entrepreneurship Council; Nedime Filiz Eğilmez, Chair of the TOBB Bilecik Women’s Entrepreneurship Council; Hayrete Yenikan, Chair of the TOBB Yalova Women’s Entrepreneurship Council; Başak Kuyumcu Kumbay and Emel Bektaş Hamutçu, members of the TOBB Bursa Women’s Entrepreneurship Council Executive Committee; and council members from the region’s provinces.
