Ali Çandır Attended a Meeting on Climate Change, Water, and the Future of Agriculture

Hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in collaboration with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ankara and the Center for Food, Beverage, and Agricultural Policy Research (GİFT), a meeting titled “Growing Tomorrow: The Future of Climate Change, Water, and Agriculture” was held. Ali Çandır, a member of the TOBB Board of Directors, attended the meeting on behalf of TOBB.
Opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Samet Serttaş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Food, Beverage, and Agricultural Policy Research (GİFT); Ali Çandır, Member of the TOBB Board of Directors; Afire Sever, Director General of Water Management at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry; and Sibylle Katharina Sorg, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The opening remarks addressed the impacts of climate change on agricultural production, the importance of sustainable water resource management, and the future of food security.
The meeting also assessed opportunities for cooperation between Türkiye and Germany, and participants exchanged views on innovative practices, sustainable production models, and best practices in the fields of agriculture and water management.
