Following the signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol between the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council and UN Women Türkiye, the High Council meeting commenced with opening remarks delivered by TOBB Board Member Işınsu Kestelli and TOBB KGK Chair Nurten Öztürk.

In her speech, TOBB Board Member Işınsu Kestelli stated that the protocol signed with UN Women would enhance the visibility of the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council on the international stage.  Noting that women entrepreneurs add significant value to the economy through their courage, productivity, innovative perspectives, and solution-oriented approaches, Kestelli said, “The successes of women writing their own stories across Anatolia inspire not only the provinces where they live but the entire country.”

Nurten Öztürk, Chair of the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council, noted that the signed cooperation protocol marks a historic step for the women’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. Öztürk emphasized that, with the support of council members, women entrepreneurs will be represented more strongly at both the national and international levels.

Süreyya Erkan, Director General of the Department of Women’s Status at the Ministry of Family and Social Services, who participated in the meeting online, provided information regarding the Declaration of Intent on the Women’s Initiative for Sustainable Development.

During the meeting, projects were reviewed with the members of the executive board, and plans were made for future initiatives. The meeting concluded with good wishes and hopes.
