In his speech at the event, TOBB Board of Directors Treasurer Faik Yavuz highlighted that e-commerce is gaining increasing prominence both globally and in Türkiye, noting that they view e-commerce as crucial for enabling more startups from Anatolia to expand into global markets.

Yavuz noted that there are challenges to be addressed in the rapidly growing e-commerce sector and explained that the public and private sectors can work together to resolve these issues.

Ozan Acar, Chairman of the TOBB Türkiye E-Commerce Council, also stated that e-commerce contributes to market access for businesses in Anatolia and helps women entrepreneurs and new businesses expand globally. 

Emphasizing that Turkey is not merely a country with a strong manufacturing industry but also possesses robust platforms, advanced logistics infrastructure, and a skilled workforce, Acar stated, “Türkiye has the opportunity to become the digital trade hub for Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa.”
