November 26 declared United Nations World Sustainable Transport Day

With the initiative of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, the request to declare November 26 as “United Nations World Sustainable Transport Day,” which was brought to the agenda of the United Nations by Türkiye, was discussed and accepted at the UN General Assembly in New York.​

TOBB had made an initiative before the relevant authorities in order to increase the appreciation and awareness of the transportation and logistics sector, which carries the entire burden of international trade, and all segments working in this sector, especially professional drivers. In this context, November 26 was declared as the United Nations World Sustainable Transport Day at the UN General Assembly.

Starting this year, November 26th of each year will be celebrated as the United Nations World Sustainable Transport Day.
