Council President Dr. Yusuf Ekinci, in his statement expressed his pleasure to meet face-to-face with members in his opening remarks, stressing they’ve met to discuss issues of importance to the sector.

TOBB Vice President Selçuk Öztürk, responsible for the Council, touched upon the work of the sector representatives and stated that he would be happy to host the sector representatives at the Consultation Meeting planned to be held in Konya in December with the participation of the Council Members.

Council Members also stated that the limits on the rate of increase in private schools, which is limited in order to prevent further damage to the institutions, to carry out their activities in a healthy way and to provide a quality education, should be abolished. 

High inflation, minimum wage the increases experienced, the decision to be issued on the EYT, the adoption of 3600 additional indicators and how private education institutions should proceed in such cases were discussed and the steps to be taken consulted on.

Members, who agreed on the necessity of establishing incentive mechanisms due to the cost increases in the sector, expressed their hope for the 2023 academic year.

In addition, at the meeting, water, natural gas and electricity pricing and tariffs in Private Education Institutions were discussed.

Various presentations were made during the meeting: Branding in Education “Rehabilitation World,” by Mehmet Topsakal, Founder of Rehabilitation World; “The Benefits of Computer Scientific F Keyboard to Education and Economy,” by Intersteno International Federation of Information Technologies and Communication Turkey Representative Seçkin Köse; “Keyboard and Science,” by F Keyboard 2022 World Champion Erdi Çiller; “The Role of Private Institutions in the Dissemination of Preschool Education and the Increase in the Number of Students,” by Nebahat Boğut, “Reverse Brain Migration with Education,” by President of the Association of Kindergartens; Ankara University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Eren Ceylan.

Vedat Kuşgözoğlu, Head of the Education Policies Department of the General Directorate of Private Education Institutions of the Ministry of National Education, expressed his satisfaction to always be side by side with the sector and answered the questions of the members.
