e-Commerce Council convened with the participation of GİB Vice President Karaboyacı

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey e-Commerce Council, under the chairmanship of Council President Ozan Acar, met in Istanbul as a hybrid with the participation of Abdullah Karaboyacı, Vice President of the Revenue Administration (GİB).​

GİB Vice President Abdullah Karaboyacı informed the Council Members about the protocol studies that are foreseen to be signed between TOBB and GİB, which will ensure the provision of data to intermediary service providers with the Trust Seal.

Later, Ministry of Commerce Trade Expert Banu Güler informed the Members of Parliament about the "Guide on Advertisements with Price Information and Discount Sales Advertisements and Commercial Practices" prepared by the Ministry.

In the following agenda item, Turkey Open Source Platform Director Sertaç Yerlikaya made a presentation about Ecole42 Coding School.

At the meeting, Council Advisor Adnan Akgün gave information about the innovations brought by the “Law on the Amendment of the Law on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce.” Following Akgün's presentation, the recent Competition Authority Decisions on the limitations on online sales were discussed.

Finally, the activities and projects of the Council were consulted.
