FIATA Management Security and Safety Meeting

The FIATA Safety and Security Consultancy Body Management Meeting held on May 18, 2022 was attended by Aslı Çalık, Head of the Department of Transport and Logistics Systems, who is serving as the Vice President of the International Road Transport Association (IRU) on behalf of TOBB.​

In particular, issues such as safety measures that can be taken against the risks that develop in response to the increasing volume of lithium batteries in transportation operations, dangerous goods transportation, increasing education and awareness in the sector, and sharing responsibility within the scope of insurance were discussed. The security session highlighted organized cargo crime, different working habits, the importance of data sharing, stray smuggling, drug trafficking and the close cooperation of the sector and public institutions.
